Never get put on hold when you are Roaming with ATT and calling Orbitz!
February 21, 2009 by OrbitzWaiting.
Just got my ATT roaming phone bill from Costa Rica. Calling Orbitz, to change a return flight (which is already going to cost). It took 10 mins to get through to anyone as it is. Then, it’s the ‘Im just going to put you on hold’. At what point, do you stop holding and call again? Knowing you will wait 10 mins in line once you dial back.52 minutes was my longest wait. That phone call cost me $103.58 Would it not make sense to automate this system.”Press 1, if you are overseas and would like us to call you back shortly when it’s your turn in the line.” Still - will admit, that ATT are not exactly the good-guy in this either.

Orbitz refuses to refund despite their website error
February 5, 2009 by ps.
Long story short, tried to make a hotel reservation with Orbitz , got a message “your transaction failed and cannot be completed at this time” from their website, so I made a mistake and assumed , ha ha, that since the website told me the transaction failed that I did not have a reservation, well apparently I had one of these “ghost transactions” and was charged for a no show. After fighting Orbitz for a refund of a “ghost transaction” I was refused a credit card refund as apparently when I signed up for an Orbitz acct I agreed to terms and conditions that said basically in the fine print, if the Orbitz website messes up its not Oribits fault.
So Orbitz beat me for $100, the credit card rep told me that the travel websites have more disputes then most catagories of businese and Orbitz has more disputes of the travel websites.
I’ll stick with the direct hotel websites and airline websites from now on!
