I hate to tell you this, but the reason Orbitz is not refunding people is not because you signed the agreement that if they mess up, it's not their fault. It IS their fault. The real reason they are not refunding you is because they have run into a HUGE cash crisis. They are publicly held (symbol OWW) and they are tanking BIG TIME. I wouldn't be surprised if they were out of business before the end of Q1 2009. They opened at around $18 and are trading way under $3 on most days. They just paid their former CEO - who had SIX CONSECUTIVE QUARTERS OF STAGGERING LOSSES a golden parachute of $2 Million to go away, and screw up some other company. What you need to do is deny the credit card charge and dispute it with your credict card company, otherwise you (and LOTS of other people) will be out some serious bucks unless you get your money back NOW. They lost over $128 Million in the 3rd quarter of 2008 and their 4th quarter losses (usually the industry's worst period) have not been reported yet. So - denythe credit card charge ASAP or you'll never see it again.
