Orbitz Insurance is FRAUDULENT. Needed 10 people to join in a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.
April 24, 2009 by mylesmedia.
The lawyers will love this.
Each person who took the trip insurance was $129.00 per person. This insurance does nothing for the trip taker. You have to DIE inorder to collect it. My life insurance policy covers that so this is double insurance. I have a flight that I booked in January for August. We bought the insurance to cancel the trip if necessary. That is what trip insurance is for. I just tried to UPGRADE our seats from the fare we purchased to Business Class on SWISS AIR. They wanted to charge us $200.00 per person to change. This upgrade would cost us $5000.00 more than what we had booked plus $400 dollars. The fair on SWISS AIR’s site for the same flight is $1600. per person in business class.
I am willing to join in a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT over the mis-marketed insurance that we bought. I also want a FULL DISCLOSURE OF THE NO CHANGE POLICY ON THE FRONT PAGE OF THIER WEB SITE IN “BOLD” H1 TEXT prior to their LOGO showing on the page.
California has stringent rules on the sales of insurance and I’m sure there is a crafty lawer out there who will take this case on. $129.00 charged per person, not to mention the monies that they did not return because people really had to cancel.
ORBITZ has already ruined my trip and It’s 3 months away. DON’T BUY ANYTHING FROM ORBITZ.COM - ITS A SCAM.

A Marine STRANDED by Orbitz and Delta - a letter to Glenn Beck
April 19, 2009 by lwarranty.
PLEASE LINK THIS OR POST IT EVERYWHERE - it is a fact and I can back it up - our soldiers need a voice!
My son is in the Marines, stationed in
Hawaii.
He was in training for the last six weeks with no contact to the outside world and returned to base on 04/18/09.He is being deployed early – the 15th of May and they only gave him seven days leave, 04/20/09 to 04/27/09.I made reservations on 04/04/09 with Orbitz for his leave, four days of flights and three days to visit his before going off to
Afghanistan on the 15th.His tickets did not arrive and I contacted Orbitz and Delta, they said simply go to the airport and they will issue new tickets since his did not arrive. He showed up this morning at the Delta counter and they said there was NOTHING they could do but sell him new tickets. He and I called Orbitz and they said take the confirmation e-mail to Delta and they would resolve it, which he did – and Delta refused and Orbitz supervisor said there was nothing further they could do.All this in a 12 hour period after returning from a six week field training period – nothing can be done.I am working towards resolving this matter by any means possible, but since when do we treat our soldiers like common baggage. My son should have had 4 weeks leave, but it was shortened due to them needing his position filled quickly. We may not get to see him before he leaves, if he is injured or worse – killed – do you think anyone at Delta, Orbitz or the rest of the world will care.An excerpt from my last message to OrbitzShame on you folks - my son is supposed to be on a flight tomorrow a 7 day leave with 4 on flights and then off to
Afghanistan. I purchased the tickets, emailed twice last week and called this evening trying to make sure he could be taken care of and you can do nothing for him. He was in training for the last 6 weeks with no contact to the outside world and this is his only chance to get home before being shipped off - again - shame on you folks. I will do my best to spread this story to anyone that will listen! I am uncertain what good this letter will do, but I must shout to the world somehow – how can you treat our soldiers this way…Shame on Orbitz, Delta…

Orbitz Price Assurance Scam…, Buyers Beware !
April 16, 2009 by jb.
Just got off the phone with a second customer service rep in a week. Bastards Scammers White collar crooks ! I am surprised that they are still able to conduct business here in the US.
I booked 3 tickets for over $1100 with them even though I was getting it cheaper else where bcoz of their so called “price assurance”. Later our aunt decides to join us for the trip and her daughter books the exact same flight (same day/same time/next row) for around $250, so the difference Orbitz owes me is well over $100 per ticket, but the lying SOG Orbitz tracker still says that I have the lowest price. First time I called, they asked me to give 48 hours, I said fine, I will give you a week, 2 weeks later, still the same. Today, I was told that she is going to write to the back office folks as to why the lowest price has not been reflected yet. I told her that Orbitz better straighten it out or I want a fkin refund by tomorrow so I can book the lower price directly with the airlines. Lets see.
This one, I have all the proof, screen-shots, screen videos, printouts, their Price Assurance policy, everything and am willing to take it all the way. If it does not go nicely, I will first complete the travel, then dispute the entire CC charge with Amex (which rocks by the way) and send them the entire information. I will make sure that not only I get the price difference which is by all means mine but I also get reimbursed for all the pain and anxiety caused by their criminal intent.
New Buyers Beware - you may not be that lucky to know some one who has booked the exact same flight!

Orbitz Scams its Customers
April 14, 2009 by justin-thyme.
I will NEVER use Orbitz again. Earlier this year, I booked flights to go to Portland, leaving July 6 and returning July 11th. Normally, when you book online, you get your confirmation page, but with Orbitz, an email came up saying they’d send the confirmation within 24 hours to my email address. Sure enough, there it was the next day, and I saw the heading that said ‘Confirmed’ and didn’t think twice. About two weeks later, I was getting ready to book the car rental reservations, when I was shocked to see that my confirmation was to leave January 28th and return July 11th! Now, I didn’t book that - so I called, but got the Orbitz runaround. The tickets cost $240, and after the cancellation and rebooking fees, I’m left with a grand total of $60 per ticket - you know what? I’ll eat that $180 rather than deal with Orbitz again!
By the way, this angered me so much, I reported them to the Better Business Bureau, and their response was that they would credit me the $30 fee - which they never have. I also reported them to Consumer Affairs - my letter is on their front page - apparently, quite a few people have complained about Orbitz and their ‘business’ practice. What they seem to specialize in is these ‘ghost reservations’ - and then, they stick you with fees to change them! I hope they go bankrupt, and fast! In the meantime, spread the word - let everyone you know not to use them, and eventually, we’ll be able to sit back and enjoy a vindication smile.
