AUTOCASCO komunikacyjnym, ubezpieczyciel ma prawo nawet do odmowy wypłaty zadośćuczynienia albo przynajmniej zmniejszania zadośćuczynienia o takiż procent, tak jak wynosiła uniknięta w wyniku krętactwa zwyżka. Na przykład deklarując, że autem nie będzie podróżowała młoda osoba, opłacamy mniejsze składki od 20 do 50 proc. Jeżeli będziemy jej udostępniali samochód i osoba ta sprawia zdarzenie (a nie było pilnego uzasadnienia użyczenia samochodu, jak na przykład podwiezienie do lekarza), przeważnie odszkodowanie będzie pomniejszone o 20-50 proc. Przy OC zakłady ubezpieczeń próbują karać osobników koniecznością sfinansowania wyższej składki po wypadku. Ale okazuje się, że nie ma do tego podstaw. Brak kary za łgarstwo przy zawieraniu umowy OC to kłopot dla towarzystw ubezpieczeniowych, jakie coraz w wyższym stopniu różnicują stawki ze względu na ryzyko. Pytają nie tylko o wypracowane zniżki, ale też o to, czy pojazdem będzie jeździł młody kierowca względnie czy będziemy jeździć nim za granicę. Ten ostatni komponent to nowość wprowadzona np. przez AXA, CU Direct, Liberty Direct, ze względu na powiększenie ilości szkód z OC uczynionych za granicą, po naszym wejściu do UE. Od maja 2004 r. możemy podróżować do krajów UE ze zwyczajną polisą OC, bez niezbędności kupowania Zielonej Karty. Te komponenty wpływają na ryzyko wypadku, a więc i na cenę. Sankcja będzie niehorrendalna, bo prawdopodobna wyższa składka będzie pobrana tylko jeśli kłamstwo wyjdzie na jaw, a więc w przypadku szkody. Dla delikwenta będzie to więc gra, w której jeśli nie będzie szkody, wygra niższą składkę. Jeśli dojdzie do szkody będzie musiał opłacić większą składkę.
